Nature of the soil
Impenetrable ruby red, with garnet hues. Fairly intense and complex on the nose. Red fruit preserved in alcohol, prunes, wild cherries and myrtle. Floral and spicy hints of cloves. On the palate it is intense, full; tannins present but tamed; good acidity balanced with softness. Ethereal and persistent finish. For immediate consumption but with good longevity.
Pasta served with tasty sauces, grilled meat and mature cheeses.
